    Thumbs up Windows 7

Just wanted to give everybody a heads up. I just installed Paralog on my 32 bit Windows 7 Ultimate install. Paralog installed fine. I then installed IRComm2K 1.2.1, also without any issues. I then started up Paralog, and it could not find the virtual IR port. It only gave the option to import from a file. I installed the Launcher software as recommended, and it found the the virtual port without any issues, so I knew that it was installed correctly.

To make a long story short, I did find a way to make it all work. It seems, that as of right now, Paralog (5.2.10) is not 100% Windows 7 compatible when it comes to working with IRComm2K. If you right click on the program file, or on the desktop shortcut or Paralog, you will see a tab that says compatibility. Under compatibility mode, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then choose "Windows Vista" from the dropdown menu.

After doing that, when you reopen Paralog, the IR port should show up and work.

    (bump)

Thank you also! I have 64-bit Windows 7 and thought that might be the issue, but compatability mode worked for me as well.
