US Law mandates changes to Daylight Savings Time dates beginning Spring 2007. Last night, Microsoft released the latest in a series of changes designed to bring all Windows operating systems into compliance with the law.
Everyone using Windows should read http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst and then use Microsoft Update to bring their computers up to date.
If you are not in the US, you still need to be aware of Time Zone changes Microsoft has implemented, and you may need to get your computer updated. See this page on the Microsoft site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931836
To use Microsoft Update, go to http://update.microsoft.com/
You must access the site using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later.
If you don't want to use Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can obtain updates from the Microsoft Download Center, or you can use the Automatic Updates service built into most Microsoft operating systems.
To get to Automatic Updates:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Depending on which Control Panel view you use, Classic or Category, do one of the following:
* Click System, and then click the Automatic Updates tab.
* Click Performance and Maintenance, click System, and then click the Automatic Updates tab.
3. Click the option that you want. Make sure Automatic Updates is not turned off.
Hoping this helps someone,
Tim
