Cheers!
I'm trying to update a Neptune to the latest (and indeed, only) version I could find, 3.1.1, from something I guess was 3.0 - it was updated by somebody else then me from 2.6.2. NMU offered to update to 3.1.1, which is seemed to do - it said the following:
Update successful!
You may see a message on your Neptune about Formatting NVRAM. This is normal for some upgrades. If you see such a message, your settings will revert to factory defaults.
The Neptune itself says the following:
.. Resetting
Press Any Key To Continue
But, alas, it doesn't respond to key presses at all. Upon taking the battery out and reinserting it, it still says the same.
I've tried the following to rescue the little chap: When I insert a battery into the Neptune while pressing the two outmost buttons, it keeps a blank LCD and beeps reguraly. When put in front of the computer's IRda-port, I refuse Windows' driver request and click Connect in NMU. The Neptune beeps in a new and colourful way, NMU connects and automatically starts sending update code, wich takes about 250 seconds. The Neptune then beeps in a new and interesting way again, but still give the message about resetting mentioned above.
The regular beeping (which, I imagine, is the Neptune telling me that it has turned on it's IR-light and is waiting for connections) starts if I press and hold the outmost buttons while the Neptune show the ".. Resetting"-message. It allows me to do the mentioned update cycle again, to no avail.
Of course, it might be me who just can't find the Any Key (-; Apart from that, is there anything I can do to this Neptune to make it healthy and alive again?
NMU version 2.01, build 2.0.1.29129
IRCOMM2K 1.2.1
