Is there a possibility of making the icon in Favourites match the Alti-2 icon?

See the attachment to compare the two. Click on the image to make it larger.

.

I tried the easy method - let me know if it works. (I'm figuring out Vista, so I have no idea what things look like in the real world :) ) It may take a while for the browser to find the ico file.

I tested, saved a new Favourite, and an icon was associated with it right away, but not the one we want. Same one as before.

Ok - I guess I will have to do this the long way - I already changed the favicon.ico file, I'll look at it again tonight. Thanks for the help.

vBulletin probably manipulates the favicon.ico file.

Just a thought.

You probably already tried this but from the vBulletin forum this is what is posted.

That's what I did.

I used the same favicon.ico file on other webs on the same server, the result was the same (the browser did not find the icon  ), so all I have established at this point is that the problem is not specific to vbulletin.

Are you using IE7?

Glad it's working for you guys...... It's still broke on my machine (Vista / IE7).... reading a few forum groups on this subject, the results seems to be highly unpredicable.

Try clearing the local cache - the result on my Firefox 2.0.1 is also funny, the bookmark in the toolbar has the new icon but the address bar still shows the old icon - even after several reloads.

Same problem on my end as well, clearing the cache worked at updating the icon.

So we know its working right on both IE7 and Firefox. I know this was just a nicety but the responsiveness to requests is noted and appreciated!

Thanks Roger!
