I read that the NMU is supposed to have other functions, like resetting the time and other settings on the Neptune.

However, all it ever does for me is re-install 2.6.2 again (which it was already running).

Am I doing something wrong?

(FYI, it's 2.6.2 C according to the demo screen)

Once you open NMU, you can click on "Work Offline" and a menu of items will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Click on the features you wish to change and it will appear in the right hand screen. Adjust the settings as desired.

Let us know how it goes.

This has been a real head-scratcher for me today - but I have an idea.

If you put a Neptune in Bootloader mode by holding down the outer buttons and inserting the battery, when you connect to it with the NMU, it will go into Updater mode and start installing 2.6.2.

To get a connection with the NMU so that you can update the date and time, you go to the Menu from the Ground Screen, then select Log Book, and then IR Connect, then Start Upload. This is the same sequence designed for connecting to Paralog - but when connecting to the NMU it is used for reading and updating settings and summary information.

Please post again and let us know if this helped.
