View Full Version : Setting ground level
Hi, I know it's probably a dumb question but I couldt find anything in the manual to explain how to set the ground level before jumping for the day.
Do you have to set up the dz location?
Thanks for the help.

In general there is no need to tell the unit it is on the ground. The N3 is constantly sampling the air pressure and knows when it is on the ground. Watch next time you're taking off, as you climb to altitude the N3 display will change to climb mode.
The manual will give you all the information you need as well as screen shots of the various displays. Its available in the downloads section, just click this: http://forum.altimaster.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=5
Thanks very much. I had a feeling that might be the case but wanted to make sure before I head to the dz.
